Part of the Burlington Metro Area, the quaint city of Winooski is the most densely populated city in Northern Vermont. Winooski is only 1.5 square miles, but the small city features an abundance of small parks, restaurants and bars. Winooski is known for it's popular restaurant Waterworks, which overlooks the Winooski River in the Champlain Mill. Along with being a comfortable and upbeat restaurant to dine in, Waterworks also hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, ranging from private events to themed trivia nights. On the second level of the converted Mill is the Mill Museum and the Winooski Historical Society Museum. Though the Mill itself is no longer in use and has been converted, the building maintains much of it's historic charm.
Downtown Winooski also hosts some events at the rotary park, off Main Street during the spring, summer and fall months. Winooski is where VSAC is located, along with hosting one of the Community College of Vermont campus. The small City also features a wide array of popular and excellent restaurants such as Our House Bistro, Mule Bar, Mandarin, Tiny Thai and Misery Loves Co. - all conveniently located around the rotary on Main Street. Across the River Bridge, on the City Border of Burlington, is a vegan café called Pingala Café, which offers casual dine in option and take out.
Winooski is an attractive option for investors of Real Estate due to the competitively priced market of Multi-Family properties in comparison to neighboring Burlington, Vermont. The small city is also an attractive option for a wide variety of buyers due to being only 5 minutes from Burlington, 10 minutes from Essex and close to I89.
