Jericho Homes

Tucked away on the eastern side of Chittenden County, Jericho is a rural town and is home to over 5,000 residents.

Residents of Jericho can enjoy an active and engaged community, local markets and restaurants, and proximity to other larger towns like Essex and Burlington. The town of Jericho is known for its beautiful and historic Old Red Mill, now home to the Jericho historical society and open to visitors. Jericho is also known for some of it's popular local eateries such as Jericho Café and Tavern and Joe's snack bar. The town is also home to Palmer Lane Maple, a local shop that sells a variety of Maple Products such as syrup, candy, cream and creemees.

Jericho consists of 3 village areas:

  • The Historic Old Red Mill area, located off Route 15 as you enter Jericho from Essex town. This area stretches from the town line of Jericho near Browns River, east to the post office and elementary school.
  • Jericho Center, located on Browns Trace Road and home to Jericho Center Country Store, Vermont's oldest and continuously running general store. Jericho Center also features many historic buildings and churches.
  • The other village area overlaps with Underhill Flats. This is located near Mills Riverside Park, shared by both Jericho and Underhill. These towns also share 2 convenience stores, Jolly's and Jacob's.

Jericho is nestled on the western side of Mount Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak, with easy access to Mount Mansfield State Forest for a wide array of hiking options ranging from moderate to challenging levels.

Jericho is apart of the Chittenden East Supervisory Union School District, sharing Mount Mansfield High School with Richmond, Huntington and Underhill.
